Compiled by a 34-year old Swedish statistician named Henrik Franzon. He came up with the lists by finding every list he could get his hands on, from critics, musicians, and music industry insiders and using his own computer program to compute them. According to Franzon the most acclaimed album of all time is Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys, and the most acclaimed song of all time is Like a Rolling Stone by Bob Dylan. Pet Sounds and Like a Rolling Stone were released within 10 months of each other.

There’s also an interesting list of the best artists by country and state. According to this list Clifford Brown, the innovative jazz trumpeter who died in 1956, is Delaware’s (where I hail from) sole great contribution to the world of music.
